Our proprietary technology uses AI to craft tailored, healthy meal programs, invent new dishes, and ensure 24/7 accessibility through SmartVending machines, all while automating CFIA compliance and safety.
UpMeals was accepted into the AI Hub, a project that assists in Research & Development for AI projects.
Launched by The Durham College Hub for Applied Research in Artificial Intelligence for Business Solutions (the AI Hub) offers industry partners access to technical expertise, state-of-the-art facilities and platforms, and student talent.
UpMeals utilized the resources provided by this program to develop an Artificial Intelligence recommendation engine API to be used on their SmartVending and Modern Catering platforms.
They also secured funding from the Canadian government through The National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to develop and bring to market the UpMeals App.
REDUCING FOOD WASTE
UpMeals uses its proprietary software platform to accurately forecast and plan its meal production operation.
